The first "real" 3D Model for the Design of our Aethership (LARP) "Tempus Fugit".

...It's supposed to travel, not only through the sky, but trough time and space (and other dimensions?). The Rings that enclose the Ship rotate around it (vice-versa) to generate a "Warpfield" for time-travelling...

---

After I chose the third design (because it seems to be the most "plausible" design for me) I wanted to make a "better" version of it, what

ended in spending 9 hours in front of my computer... and still working on it.

Explanation:

The "Figurehead" was a relatively quick made pseudo "art-deco" model. I guess I will make a better version of it...

The ship's hull was intended to be enforced with "carbon-fibre". I'm still working on proper rendering (because it doesn't look like carbon

to me yet...).

The ladders on the side are for reaching the cannons and can be used as "slides" on the lower part of the ship (including handles on the

"roof" - watch your head!).

2Do:

adding "tesla coils" to support the rotating rings (or moving them with electro-magnetism...?)

adding a clock's face to the front of the ship (not sure yet if i'll also add some "hands of time")

still not sure of the used textures. The whole ship seems to be a bit "shiny".

Hello mate. Nice design you have here, very Steampunk. In my opinion though, if you're wanting to get a more Art Deco feel to the ship, may I recommend that the main hull be somehow coloured either silver or bronze? Look to the old movie 'Metropolis' for inspiration. It'll give you what you need. Very nice idea though. I kinda specialise in time travel machines myself, feel free to check out my stuff. :)

Hi!

I already thought about that too.
The main problem is, that if we would travel in time/between dimensions, we wanted to stay "hidden" without everybody noticing a "big shiny thing" in the sky...

I know those Art Deco designs and of course also the masterpiece Metropolis!
Maybe I'll do a shiny-version of our Aethership once it's finished... just for the look of it ;-)

Ah well, in that case you'll have to get yourself a Chameleon circuit, or just a good 'ol fashioned Cloaking device! ;) My Trimaxian Tardis is very shiny, feel free to check it out for inspiration. ;)
